Rita and Franz manage with great efforts and passion
the alpin farm Pramperch.
Our son Daniel was born in 2003 and our daughter Mara in 2005.
Our family live and work at the Pramperch Farm all year round.
In the spring, as soon as the snow is almost gone,
we clean out invasive weeds from our meadows and fertilize organically.
The grasslands must be regularly mowed, twice a year. First time in Jun-July
and the second time in September.
We own an alpin meadow within the Nature Park Puez-Geisler. We mow thr hay in August.
The manually woved hay consist of jung flowers blooms and
a lot of different herbs, both preventing the farm animals diseases
(we have dairy cows and pigs in our cowshed).
In the autumn the most important work is in the woods. Our woods consist
mostly of the larchs, but there are also spruces, scots
pines and cembran pines (cembratall). Old and heavily diseased
trunks will be chopped down for firewood.
