Kids + Snow = Fun!
And more, 130 km of slopes prepared every evening with the help of 40
snow cats, 52 lifts, a well developed system of snow making facilities,
the direct ski connection to more than 500 km of slopes in the Sella area
and the central position in the Dolomiti Superski carousel (450 lifts and
1.220 km of best prepared slopes) make Alta Badia a number one skiing
area.
The lifts: 1 cable car, 7 automatic coupling cabin lifts, 11 automatic
coupling chair lifts, 19 chair lifts, 13 ski lifts and 1 inclinated lift
- total hourly capacity = 78.100 people. |

Ski and snowboard fans will find in Alta Badia a rich choice of pistes
and panoramic skitours such as: ski tour in the nature reserves The Santa
Croce ski tour The Lagazuoi ski tour or the Val Stella Alpina ski
tour.
Snowpark Ciampai Piz La Ila - Piz Sorega plateau is dedicated to snowboarders
and freestyle skiers. It offers: various jumps, boardercross,
various rails, humps (not far away from Prameprch). |

The attractive new slope, the black 'Piculin', a 2,000-metre long
run with a vertical drop of 500 metres is leading to the Ladin village of
Picolin. A level walk-in bus system run from Piccolino Kronplatz to Alta
Badia every 20 minutes to complete the connection.
The new facility on the south-west side of Piz de Plaies with the valley
station in Picolin is 1,500 metres long and have a vertical rise of
500 metres. The new lift transport 2,400 skiers per hour. In the valley
area there is a modern service centre with parking facilities, information
point, ski rental, ski depot, ski service, bar as well as a restaurant.

In the tourist offices Alta Badia you can buy: a panorama and ski slope
map (€ 3,50) and a panorma and winter walks/cross country slopes map
(€ 3,00).
Due to its central position in the Dolomite skiing area, Alta Badia is an
ideal departure point for some of the most beautiful skiing trips
in the Alpine area, such as the Sellaronda, the “Tour of
the First World War” and the trip to the Marmolada glacier. |

Would you like to spend some nice time in the fresh air, playing out your
sporty fantasies, practicing cross country skiing from classic to skating?
Nordic Ski is the right solution. Geared to all levels of experience,
people love this sport for getting them outside in the winter. Cross
Country skiing improves muscular strength and endurance while targeting
muscles in the entire body. It also gives you a terrific aerobic workout
and can help you improve balance, coordination and agility.
Alta Badia offers cross country skiing fans 35 km of routes prepared
for skating and the classic technique. Immersed in the silent natural surroundings,
you can enjoy the scenery of the wonderful Dolomites area. The areas are:
• Cross country center Alta Badia - Enervit in San Cassiano / Armentarola
The 19 km of routes, framed by some of the most beautiful peaks of the Dolomites
are suitable for the classic discipline as well as skating. The centre is
equipped with a cross country skiing school, ski hire and skiing preparation;
showers and dressing-rooms, bar and restaurant.
• Cross country area Corvara / Colfosco The routes (16 km approx.)
wind through woods and meadows, from Corvara (start near the Boè
cable car) till the Colfosco water falls. They are prepared for the classic
discipline as well as skating.
